Carrying Branded Purses and Cosmetics Without Declaring Them- The 22 years old beauty queen Hasleen Kaur who won Pantaloons Femina Miss India Earth 2011 was detained in Mumbai on Wednesday night . When she arrived from her trip of Thailand, she was detained at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport for carrying branded purses and cosmetics without declaring them.
The worth of these branded purses, cosmetics is Rs 1.9 lakhs (190000 rupees converted to USD $3,620.77). When the officials approached her and stated that they intended to check the goods, she told them that the purses were local products.Undeterred by her reasoning, the officials detained her, confiscated her belongings, and only then allowed Kaur to leave the airport. Hasleen Kaur has also played a small role in Saif Ali Khan’s movie “Love Aajkal”.
