Longest-married celebrity couples: It is always thought that it is difficult for celebrities to get married and remain married. May 1st is always celebrated as the Couple Appreciation Day and it is always difficult to be a celebrity couple. Celebrity couples often face more hardships than married people who are not in the limelight. Paparazzi interference, the pressure of keeping up public appearances, and erratic work schedules are only some of the complications that are part and parcel of being a celebrity. Top this with everyday marital pressures such as parenting, sexual intimacy, or finances, and it is easy for a fragile relationship to collapse. But still there is a list of some very famous lovebirds who have gone the distance despite the difficulties of a celebrity couple.

Danny DeVito & Rhea Perlman
Their marriage: DeVito married actress Rhea Perlman on January 28, 1982.
They met in 1970 while DeVito was in "The Shrinking Bride" and moved in together two weeks later. They both starred in "Taxi" from 1978 to 1982, after which Danny moved on to films. Perlman remained in television, starring in "Cheers" from 1982 to 1993.

Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne
Their marriage: Ozzy married Sharon Osbourne on July 4, 1982.
Sharon's notorious father managed Ozzy's band until 1979, when Ozzy was kicked out for substance abuse. Sharon then managed Ozzy as a solo act, leading them both to successful careers and their eventual marriage.
