Ottawa Mother Gives Birth Live Online- An Ottawa woman who gave birth live over the internet early Sunday morning is now the proud mother of a healthy baby boy.
Nancy Salgueiro, 32, gave birth to Oziah at 3:18 a.m. ET Sunday with more than 2,000 people registered to watch online.
Oziah weighed six pounds, according to Salgueiro, who is a chiropractor and professional birth coach who promotes natural home births.
She set up a high-definition video camera in the living room of her south Ottawa home and hooked it up to her laptop.
Her husband, Mike Carreira, was by her side throughout the birth. Midwives arrived shortly after Salgueiro gave birth to help her through the post-partum process.
