Susan Sarandon I Hate You Dad – Adam Sandler’s new comedy, I Hate You Dad, has signed up Susan Sarandon. The actress will play a teacher who slept with Sandler’s character when he was a teenager and gives birth to their son. She will be joining the cast alongside fellow new arrivals Milo Ventimiglia and Eva Amurri.
The “I Hate You Dad” is centered around Sarandon’s character. With the grown sprog ready to get married to his fiancee (Leighton Meester), Sandler moves in with the couple, but immediately starts fighting with the bride-to-be.
Ventimiglia is on to play Meester’s Iraq veteran brother, who has a creepily close relationship with his sis. There’s no word on what role Californication star Amurri will take, though she has plenty of experience with Sarandon, given that she’s her daughter.
Also locked in to feature are James Caan, TV stalwart Ian Ziering and rap type Vanilla Ice. Ziering and Ice will be cameoing as warped versions of themselves, Though in the latter’s case, that’s probably just going to be a normal day for him.
Sony is also looking to lock in Samberg’s former Saturday Night Live co-star Will Forte for a part, along with Blake Clark, Meagan Fay and Dan Patrick.
Sean Anders and John Morris, who wrote upcoming kiddie-com Mr Popper’s Penguins and Hot Tub Time Machine, are stepping up to direct this one. The bright spot is word that Role Models creators David Wain and Ken Marino have brought their comedy polish to the script. Sarandon and cast will begin filming the I Hate You Dad project this summer in Boston.
