2011 Summer Geek-Out
It's geek season at the movies again as we take a look at this summer's crop of superheroes, monsters, magic and more superheroes
The summer movie season is upon us, which means that prime moviegoing time for geeks is also here. Summer is when the studios roll out their so-called tentpole and franchise flicks, and these days that pretty much means comic book adaptations, sci-fi spectaculars, action thrill rides and the occasional horror epic. While not all of these will of course reach or even exceed expectations, it's us -- the frontline of genre fans -- who will be out there on opening weekend looking to satisfy our endless thirst for cinematic flights of wonder, awe and imagination.
